I prefer to wait two weeks & just realize it's gonna be allot of work... i like to let it sit about 3 to 4 more weeks to "gas out" any solvents, esp dark colors, because buffing the paint seals the surface somewhat, and further gas out may take place if you buff too soon, causing the paint to "texture" again,

I kind of like it when the paint "retextures", you get more of a factory appearing enamel then. I'm talking real fine texturing. Unless you want the smooth as wet glass look that isn't anything like what the cars looked like when new.
