Remove and clean the battery connections for a start.
Look for any rusty grounds.
Make sure the ignition switch was centered.
My wifes 05 durango has a goofy ignition switch where I can pull the key out any time. I have turned the thing off in the drive and pulled the key out and she said she would get in it and stuff would still be on and the key/switch wasn't all the way turned off even though the key came out. That make sense?
Could be carbon up throttle body, is it, has it idled ruff lately? 145K is a few miles, has it ever been cleaned or what Mopar says, replaced?

I wondered if the 5 pounds of bling hanging off my wifes key chain has anything to do with loose ignition switches?

Good luck with it.
