Received my 70/71 Cuda quarters from AMD yesterday. Here are my first impressions of them (preliminary fitting):

The Good:

1) MUCH better quality of steel than Goodmark (thickness, strength, straightness, etc).

2) Top of quarter at the door is correct angle, unlike Goodmark.

3) Fit around wheel house looks good, unlike Goodmark, which had to be pushed in very hard and clamped in place, causing stress to the panel..

4) No waves on the top, at the bottom of the "C" pillar, or around the wheel opening, unlike Goodmark.

5) Fit at rocker seam is like original, unlike Goodmark.

The Bad:

1) Fit at trunk extensions (Goodmark) is poor, same as Goodmark! Driver side has the correct spacing between the holes that the valance studs go through, but the passenger side holes are 1/2 inch too close. Goodmark trunk extensions have the correct spacing. This area will take some work to make it fit correctly.

2) The contour of the panel behind the wheel at the body line, is too sharp, and the wheel lip needs to be stretched to make it fit the trunk extensions. I compared this area to my original 70 Cuda. The contour of the Goodmark trunk extensions I am using, look to be pretty close to my originals. This was also a problem area with the Goodmark quarters.

3) Wheel lip narrows too much towards the bottom, behind the wheel

4) The contour of the panel at the door edge, between the upper body line and the middle body line, is too "flat", and will need to have the edge shrunk to give it a more convex contour, in order to match that of the door.

Overall, I am much happier with these panels than the Goodmark ones I had at first!
