No it changed in 1970 , as stated there were no A body large bolt pattern rears except maybe on the 68 SS cars .

I have a 70 up rear apart in the basement, the bolt hole for the Tee is approx. 15.75" from the surface the backing plate bolts to.

Erik , the rear you have is definitely the early rear ... sorry
