The '65 model radio will stand out like a soar thumb . Why not go with a '70 . You could snag a 70 B AM pretty cheap (e-bay is full of them) then have it converted to modern FM with 45 watts per channel x 4 channels (180 watts total) with RCA jacks for $ 399 .
Or if you did want to step up to the plate and buy a real factory 70 AM FM I can hook you up with that also.

Thanks Greg,

The reason why I want to go with the 65 (model 366) is that I already have it and I can't justify spending $500+ on a radio at this moment (hopefully later maybe). I would have to get a 70AM ($100) + conversion $400 + shipping (I'm in Europe).

I know it's your business to sell radios but I don't think that the 65 will stick out that much. hidden behind the radio bezel you can only see the dial indicator which looks very similar to the 70 imo. I already have the correct 70 radio knobs so that wouldn't be the problem.

Getting a real 70 AM/FM sounds tempting but not now - need to get the car registered first.

Hmm, a factory fader switch shouldn't be too hard to find, should it?
