Going to be starting to redo my dad's 69 satellite convertible. When he did it in 85 they replaced both fenders and never drilled in the fender satellite emblems. Anyone happen to have measurements for them?

Anyone have a location for the stud holes? When this car was done in 84/85 they didn't put them on the replacement fenders.

Thanks

thanks! could you snap some pictures of the yellow runner's trunk undercoating? I have an idea how the undercoating on the quarters is but knowing that car I would say its as original as it gets.

Sure, no problem - I'm going to light it off shortly, probably taking it to a casual show tomorrow.
And yeah, it's definitely an original-reference car.
And thanks again for your part in the story.

I'm betting that's a Lynch Road assembled car. The trunk sound deadening is somewhat unique to the assembly plants for the B-bodies.

His car isn't going to be "100% correct" but if I can do a few things to make it better I want to. Car has been in our family since 1981 and after dad passes away one day it goes to my brother who said he will not plan to sell it either. So not to worried on loosing value if it isn't 100% correct if know what I mean

What is the best way to replicate the trunk undercoating? What materials are used, and what type of spray gun?

Thanks.

It's actually sound-deadening, but the exact material may no longer be available to mere mortals...
But it appears so much like undercoating as to make little if any difference.
Best I found was Resto Rick's stuff - come in gallon cans - and is sprayed with a body schutz sprayer.
Those are like small-diameter garden hoses compared to a spray gun.
Even his stuff, though, was more watery & finely-textured than the original stuff, so you hose & re-hose a few times to get the factory look.
