Will a later (69 and up) 904 converter fit in an early (65) trans? I want to do a 360 in a 65, not sure when hub went to bigger crank register

If I remember correctly, 65 was the split year, it could go either way. The 64 still had the small crank hub and the 66 had the big crank hub.

No, 67 was the split. Not only is the snout on the converter different, the splines on the input are different. You can put a late converter in the early trans, but the car won't move.

The adapter ring is (was) available from Torqueflite Patty. tflitepatty@comcast.net When swapping in a 360 don't forget the external balance.
