My grandaughter’s ‘07 Charger R/T alternator locked up last week, I replaced the alt & associated parts plus put in a new battery. Thought it would be good to go but no. I have lights, etc, but the starter doesn’t do anything. The warning lights for the Electronic Throttle Control & Voltage are lit. I’ve checked fuses, found nothing. And checked my connections from the original work & found no problems. Pulled codes UO100 & U110B but don’t think those are the cause of no-start. Is it the PCM? Any ideas? Thanks

Yes, the shifter moves, I tried numerous times to start it in neutral.

Looking online what I found. Error code U0100 means the PCM cannot send or receive communication signals via the CAN bus. DTC U0100 code usually comes up due to the following: Faulty ECM. Problem with control module wiring. That could be your problem. The other one is BTW, if it ends up that it's an engine wire harness problem I have the one that I just took off my wife 2006 Charger Daytona that I just finished up installing a 6.4 stroker and I used an SRT wiring harness from a 6.1 on it so I have the original one available.

Car doesn’t have a security system, although that was a good thought that wouldn’t have occurred to me.
Thanks for the wiring offer, if I find that to be the problem I’ll be contacting you.

They all have some basic security system as in SKIM key, meaning that the chip in the key controls if it will actually start and run. It will crank though even if the key isn't programmed. I believe it will even run for something like 5 seconds with an un-programmed key.

I was thinking aftermarket security, but there’s no action at all from the starter. I’m currently trying to find a fusible link that is supposedly between the starter and alternator. Just another path to trod.
