Keep a fire extinguisher handy, your fuel and electrical systems up to snuff so this doesn't happen to your ride. What a crying shame about this one.

Fire extinguisher suggestions?

Such a shame that happens. Years ago I came upon a destroyed street rod on the interstate and was pretty bummed for the owner.

They have some good videos about how they work.

Would have been interesting if he had taken a conventional fire extinguisher and tried it as well.

If you have ever really tried to put out a car on fire, you probably don't have a clue how worthless most fire extinguishers are. The dry chemical ones are very messy, but are about the most effective.

In a real fire, either car or house, the primary purpose of an extinguisher is to be able to get people to safety. Once that has been done, you can use up the extinguisher to see if you can save the car or house.

With most car fires, you effectively have about 30 seconds of burning time to put the fire completely out before it will self feed. Once it starts self feeding, you don't have much of a chance without having several extinguishers immediately on hand.

I've had exactly one car catch fire on me. I bailed out the driver's side window and let it burn. It was a junkyard refugee so I didn't really care.

Did have a coworker's Ford catch fire in the parking lot, fortunately for him I was literally standing in front of his truck when it started smoking (Ford brake switch fire). I grabbed the closest extinguisher and put it out. Even more fortunately for him he'd left it unlocked and I was able to pop the hood and get to the source.

Had a fire in my Barracuda racecar, on board extinguisher was deployed and then maybe 10 small extinguishers to put it out. Thankfully my fellow racers came to the rescue and saved most the car but the front end was a mess.

Car doesn't appear to have had any amount of work done to it.
Wheels look like to only upgrade.
Probably still had the '55 old wiring still intact.
Was that a spare generator in the rear area?

Not the original steering column

That hole in the hood was there for something.

There's not enough in the video to substantiate your claim.
