I'm headed to Gatlinburg this week and thought I'd stop in. Just saw they are closing for good Oct 31 2021.

I was there earlier this year. You should absolutely go if your going to be that close.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I visited a few years ago. You can easily spend hours in there.

I've been several times over the years, lots of cool cars. I would stand and drool over the Curious Yellow 71 GTX! bow

Huh...there was one of them that kicked around the area I live for years. Always wonder where it ended up. Was Curious yellow, elastomeric bumpers, houndstooth interior, etc. Was a cool car.

Never, ever argue with an IDIOT. They will drag you to their level and then beat you with their years of experience

Was last there in 2010. Last time I actually took a vacation. Although my kids liked the cars, they were 9 and 6 so my ability to linger and really look stuff over was a bit limited. What I thought was cool is he was always moving cars in and out. If you stuck around long enough, you would see one of them get fired up.

Been there a few times myself, and hate to see it close. Chances are, someone offered him stupid money for the property. There is also an awesome muscle car museum in Myrtle Beach, SC.....on Hwy 501 if anyone visits that area on vacation.

Aw man. I always wanted to go. Had a plan to see Floyd's and Graceland in the same trip.

What a shame.

We went on Thursday and the gentleman at the counter said that the Chevy dealer next door had purchased the property. Possibly for a body shop and whatever else.
Glad we got to see the collection one last time.

I went about 15 years ago. Really cool stuff. Best part was I got to talk with him for quite awhile. He rattled off some damn good business advice that day.

Sad to keep seeing these museums keep closing. Seems to be about one a month this year. New collection is being opened in Columbia Tn per latest MCG however. .

I want my fair share

A majority of the cars are privately owned and were there on loan. Floyd owns a few that are on the show floor.

I've seen the Dickson GTX in California back some ten years ago!

Great story, an ex VET from the Nam war, bought this to 'save his sanity'...

Yep I just love 71 GTX's as I have the only UK one... drive

Last visited that place in the 90’s. Garret was hanging out chatting about some long ago street race somewhere back in the day.
