at the moment i'm running 40 year old leaf springs with slapper bars. i have been looking into the calvert split mono leaf springs. a local car runs them with the caltracs and they like the setup. are they worth the money. does anyone here use that setup with there shocks and caltracs. would like your input. pros and cons. TIA

No experience, but many satisfied users have commented. There should be enough people with similar cars running them to get hints and help setting up.
Downside:
1. costs money
2. new learning curve
3. more variables means more work (but less than 4 link etc.)

I use the whole Calvert “full meal deal”. Split Mono’s, bars, and shocks front & rear. I’d buy again in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t consider the setup all that expensive considering what you get for your money, and as far as being complicated.... NOT! Sure there is adjustment for you there, but generally it’s a “set it & forget it” sort of deal.

I have the full Caltrac setup on my car as well. It works well once you get it setup (which doesn't take much with all the info available). It was money well spent for my car.

If it's not street driven and you can weld? I'd put ladder bars on it.. In the end its lighter, cheaper.
