Two related questions: 1. Does anyone sell (or can make?) offset cylinder head dowels for BB Mopars? I think for BBs they're only .250" OD, and the smallest offset dowels I see listed anywhere are ~ .310" for SBM / SBC.
2. What is the recommended minimum radial valve clearance (clearance between edge of valve and valve relief in piston)?
Thanks, Brad The offset dowels are easy to make with an offset jig on a surface grinder. My surface grinder is down right now or I could make them for you. I am replacing my old manual one with a hydraulic unit but am rebuilding it before I put it in service. I am a month or two away from finishing it.

I was thinking bbc was the same. I have a friend that has made the offset dowl pins. One thing to remember is at some point you have to enlarge the bolt holes also. If I was going for optimum performance I would sonic check the block and cnc the cylinder bores as high as possible along with the offset dowels.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

you have to enlarge the bolt holes
X2 - with the dowels in place you want the bolts to slip into the head with effort.

BB chevy are no where near the same as the ones on our B, RB and gen2 hemi motor, they won't work
Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
