5.7 intake vacuum leak?

5.7 intake vacuum leak? - 04/21/23 11:45 AM

Hey guys, I have a 2011 Charger Pursuit 5.7 with 97k I'm building for a customer. Car surges at a light load, no codes, fuel pressure 58 psi. Sprayed brake clean around the intake & discovered the leak is several spots at the seams of the intake itself. Is this common? Where to get a new, not used intake & approximate cost? TYIA

Update did a smoke test this am intake leaking 3 different places on seams! Have a video but can't figure out how to post here.

Must be common if Dorman makes a replacement.

I would offer customer first an epoxy repair. If that doesn't work, you can always source an intake, they are just a little pricey.

I just did the look up on Dormans site and did not realize it was a v-6 manifold. The site did not give me an engine option so I just assumed it was correct. My bad.
