How difficult is this? A guy on another forum says the front cover has to come off. That means water pump and accessories!

just drop thepan &oil pickup tube,you don"t have to remove front cover.have to remove the trans to motor bracket,changed a lot of rusted pans,not that hard.

I didn't do it myself but I had the pan changed on my 04 because it was rusting out and it wasn't much labour to do it and if it makes a difference mines 4x4.
