Drive mandrel for pulleys - 03/17/19 03:20 PM

I thought I would share this if someone else is doing something similar.

I like using a mandrel for driving my alternator and vacuum pump,
It makes pulley selection easy to get the ratios right. Also makes
Spacing easier I think.

I wanted a smooth shell damper and ATI helped me piece this together
Used a 916247 hub, 918850 alum 7" shell chevy front and a 916631
Mandrel for a big block Chevy.

The mandrel could be anyones big block Chevy a bunch of people make
them. I used GZ pulleys and end cap, Jones racing products has a good
Selection of pulleys and spacers too

My combo is a 6.1 alum block/5.7 truck timing cover in a tube chassis Dart

very nice Quickrunner.

Jones stuff is nice. Their web site is kind of weak, but the printed catalog is good.
