What is the difference of a set of Hellcat lifter over a set of quality Non MDS lifters like Johnson hylifts other than the price?

You can get different versions of the johnson hylifts. I can't remember if its 3 or 4 styles, but there a race, slow bleed, stock, etc. I have a set of the race style in my 6.1, but haven't ran it yet to say how good they actually work.

There is the slow leak 2335se, but there is also a 2335R. The r are what they call the race version. They have a variable duration that helps with the idle.

Explains more on page 7 and also explains the e on the se after this, slow bleed and direct shot.

lifter info

I think in all, there is the 2335, 2335s, 2335r and 2335se.

Hellcat lifters are said to be a high quality lifter manufactured in Germany for Chrysler, because of quality issues from regular production lifters in the past. Would caution on the quality of the Hylift Johnsons. The other "Johnson" lifter is of high quality, used in production COPO LS race cars and others.

I find conflicting info on both of the "Johnson" companies. I'm not sure whats true about either. I did see a post on another board of someone ordered the Johnson(NON hylift) lifters and it said they were made in Taiwan... seem they sell both in house manufactured and offshort casted while Hylift is manufactured in the USA, not offshore castings.
