OCPerformance dual plane manifold - 10/30/18 10:43 PM
Just came across this, anyone running it?
http://ocperformanceparts.com/the_1st_single_4bbl_gen_3_hemi_dual_planeFrom some detective work I did back in the day, I recall Edelbrock had a plastic pattern of a 1x4 which was very similar to the 2x4 intake, it had been dyno tested and was a known good piece, but unfortunately they wanted Mopar to purchase the tooling for it, the answer was no and that one project was scrapped.
this OC is the only dual plane out there, right?

Pretty sure it’s the only dual plane. The proprietor of OCP is a member of one of the Facebook groups I’m on and he’s posted dynonsheets of them and they’re comparable to an Eagle car intake if memory serves me right. It gives up a little down low but gains a little up top

Joe is a member here , ( Hemijoejr ) there are a few guys on Hemi Truck Club that run the OCP manifold, my Niece had one on her 300 daily driver and then on her Challenger. it's a better carb intake than injected( my opinion) it is the only dual plan offered at this point.

As far as I know, I have the only one. What can I help you with?

I like that intake so much ,I have two of them. Sixpackgut port matched both of them out for me. Lots of throttle response
through out the RPM range.

Just checking around to see if it is legit and how it runs for folks, since I never heard of the company that makes it before.
I rebuilt a failed '07 5.7 years ago (it detonated on boost, ring lands let go, old story by now), and though I collected the MP/Edelbrock dual quad intake for it, it seems a bit much for a cruiser.

Joe O'Cone who owns OC Performance makes great parts for modern Hemi's...his 4150 conversion works perfectly, as I have bought two of them for my hemi!

My understanding was that this intake was designed for the 08 and older 5.7 hemi heads. Does he have versions for the larger intake port hemi heads?

It’s the same intake for the early 5.7L and the eagle, 6.1L port window but they are machined differently. The square port window intakes will need to be port matched to the heads for best performance. I just ran a port matched, profiled divider intake this weekend on my new engine in the Cuda. Ran an 11.12@120.7, 3670lb with driver, 4.30 gear. I had 2 issues. The factory 2005 truck pcm limited the engine to 7000 rpm no matter what we did so I tapped the limiter between 1-2 2-3 and hit the limiter again through the stripes. My converter is too loose as well. It stalled at 5500 with a 236 242 @ .050 112 lsa and .595 lift. It’s just too high. It has 10s in it. Engine is a stock cube 6.1l with ported big valve eagle heads. This is literally pass #4 on this combo and I am whittling it down.

I have ported about 10-15 of them

Nice pic...
I have asked this before in general terms, but Ray maybe you can shed some light? Any flow data comparing the OCP intake and the CASCAR (Arrow) intake?? Either ported or as cast??

They all flow very well.
Gasket matched ocp will flow very close to a stock 6.1. A stock 6.1 flows very well.
The stock 6.1, ocp, cascar, ritter and new drag pack all serve different purposes.
Stock 6.1 and ocp need a gasket match. The ritter needs a bunch of plenum work and a gasket match. Cascar looks nice. Someone supposed to bring me one to look at and maybe port on his next trip to Charleston.
Guys should be picking intakes on runner length. Even the ritter can have longer or shorter runners depending on if its a 4150 or 4500 intake

4150 ritter shorty. The tall plenum is a real pita

4500 ritter and customer milled clover out before sending it to me

The new drag pack needs nothing except deep pockets

Is there a revised version?
