Hellcat supercharger on a 6.4 Hemi

Has anybody put a Hellcat supercharger on a 6.4 engine. Would it make the 700 HP that the Hellcat engine makes with the proper cam swap OR is there more to the Hellcat short block?

What would be needed to run the hellcat supercharger on a 6.4 Hemi?

Believe the intake bolt pattern is different, and need new pistons and rods.

I just learning the gen3 hemi stuff also.

I meant to follow up on your big block thread when i posted hellcrate was best option, went on vacation and forgot about it till now

You gots to swap on the hellcat heads or possibly drill the bolt holes in the apaches, dont know if theres enough meat and the alloy is not as good at conducting away the extra heat. Different front cover arangement also.

You will have more compression so you will neeed more octane. The apache cam has a tiny bit more lift and a lot less exhaust duration.

If you just bolt it on you could have similar power maybe even a tad more TQ, but you WILL need more octane, probably 100 octane. Even so your cast pistons will be living on borrowed time. Also the block will probably be just fine BUT the BGE block used on the hellcat and truck 6.4 does have slightly revised coolant flow for better cooling with all the extra heat as well as the cylinders are siamesed about 1/2 way up to make them more stable as well as the ribs on the outside.

The edelbrock heads are also drilled for a hellcat supercharger. The hellcat heads are pretty pricey to buy new.

Wow I learn something new all the time about Gen III Hemis. I did not know the Hellcat cylinder head had a completely different bolt pattern and I did not know the front of the Hellcat block had a diffrent front plate front cover as well.

Sounds like Hellcat is its own engine and has barely anything to do with the regular 5.7,6.2 or 6.4 Hemis.

I was going to try and build a "Hellcat engine"starting with regular 6.2 or 6.4 engine. Sounds like they are way too different.

I think your best bet would be to just add a pro-charger or whipple. Easy to find in kit forum and should make some real good power.

The intake bolt pattern is different on Apache vs Hellcat heads, and there isn't enough meat to redrill Apaches for it.

With that said, a 6.4 big gas truck block is the same block as a 6.2 Hellcat. In fact, Hellcat blocks have a BGE stamp on the casting, they're just powdercoated orange.

Hellcat has a unique front cover which requires a unique oil pan. Along with this, running the Hellcat blower would require the entire cooling system for both it (reservoir, low temp radiator pump, both in line low temp radiators), and the HC runs an air/air oil cooler that is recommended to run even on Hellcrate engines.

You'd have to swap pistons and rods out for something stronger and probably lower compression...at this point you'd be better off getting a 6.2 motor and just swapping the crankshaft for a 6.4 crankshaft lol.

The Apache heads don't have enough material in the area you need to drill to use them with the Hellcat intake/supercharger, the Hellcat cam has more Exhaust Duration then the SRT392 cam, If I remember correctly it's also a smaller lift on the intake(557 Vs 571).vs the SRT392 cam

The company I work for had some Hellcat engines in for testing, one dropped a valve and we tried to replace it with an Apache head, no good kept cracking where we drilled for the Supercharger/intake bolts
