Gen III torque plate hone - 01/09/18 02:24 PM
When honing a Gen III Hemi since the bolt bosses are not directly attached to the bores does using a torque plate make a difference? Has anyone ever checked? I know they claim torque plate honed bores on the Demon but it could just be marketing.

I made one myself but the more I look at the block, the more I wonder.

I had to buy a plate as well. I cannot remember the exact figure but in his words he was glad we used a plate because the block moved a lot.

Ditto. The machine shop said the same of mine. I even bolted a stock head to the other side and then swapped for the hone job. I even bolt the torque plate on to file fit the rings....yes Im anal.
