315-30-18 tires

Anyone running 315-30-18 tires? front and rear? preferably on 18x11 rims?

Rim brand/model? specs ... backspacing offset?

Rear leaf clearance .. in factory stock location (not inboard)?

Front fender clearance issues?

Rear fender clearance issues?

My F/R lips are flushed and slightly pulled for clearance of 275-45-16 Hoosiers on 16x10 rims with zero offset.

I can easily fit 275-40-17 or 18 rims... but I'm seriously considering 315-30-18 tires (200 TW) front and rear... choice of rim is the big decision with the backspacing and offset. If needed, a little more fender mods would be done... they look stock despite the minor mods.

E-body... Challenger is my car. Used for autocross activities.

i i was just looking at tire and wheel options as well. 315s would be massive. i've got the rear springs moved in board on my challenger. will be following this thread.

Member @RylisPro has run that size and maybe bigger. I can't see the pics with my current connection but they were there the last time I looked.

That would IMO be huge improvement. My first concern is front fitment, No sure how it could be done in front without a rather unfavorable offset and/or restricted turning arc, but if possible I would do it in a heartbeat. Second concern, it seems to me tire availability is every year becoming more narrow, meaning what you can buy this year maybe no longer be available in the next year or two, and lastly, is 11"W may not be the most favorable width for 315 or at least right on the edge, not sure. So is there already a large selection of suitable's 315-30x18 currently available to chose from?

Currently about ten options in that size, which is better than a lot of the wider 18" options.

I am looking for 315 square if I can do it, but I could live with 295 or 305 on the front. I am pretty sure those are doable. Got a ways to go before I'm ready for new shoes though.

Tire size is one thing but the custom wheel is the expense. I run 285-35 18 on a 67 Valiant on cheap18x10 mustang style wheels. With the mods done to the fenders on my Valiant I could run 315s it’s all about the wheel.

Very true. The off the shelf selection of 18" wheels wider than 9.5" with appropriate backspacing isn't very good. Where you can get a nice set of four 9.5" wheels for less than $1000, it gets a lot more expensive the wider you go. But, you gotta pay to play I guess.

The cost to get to a 315 sqaure setup is extremely high, but the `Cuda turns in so damn good that to me its worth it haha!
