I don't like a real lopey cam. And want something very street friendly.

I went with a comp 274-S on my 416 stroker. Still a ton of torque for an autox even with my single plane intake.

With a six speed trans, you have a tone of gear choice. More like what you want your overdrive cruise overall rpm to be.

In an autox you might want to try to lug it a little so not to break the rear tires loose.

For Solo II (autocross) 62 - 65 in second gear is where you want to be. Speed Calc

Main Calc page
Just try different gear ratios to see what your speed will be in second gear. Then you can see what your RPM will be in 6th at highway speeds. Now you can look and see what different gear ratios will do. This will give you an idea on what your looking at but with good HP you can move of that and hurt your self much if at all. The Corvettes that rule AS class hit like 72 MPH.
