17x9 wheels on a b body - 03/17/16 01:06 AM
Looking to run 17x9 wheels with a 5" backspace will these work on all four corners of a 68 Roadrunner? I've seen people say that a 17x9 will work with a zero offset. To me a zero off set would be 4.5" backspace.
Here are the wheels I am looking at.

A 17 x 9 with zero offset would be 5" back spacing, as a 9" wheel is actually 10" wide over all.

You'll want at least 4.5" of backspace.

The rears fit well, the fronts seem to be fine but I haven't put the engine in so we will see.

I have a set of steel crown vic cop car wheels 17x7.5", I am going to re-center them or buy a set of rim shells from Marsh racing wheels. For me its the challenge of making them, and I like the old school look of a steel wheel. Tim
