This is what im starting with, Plans are to build a 400 stroker, 8 3/4 rear, hopefully to run mid to high 11's as cheap as i can!!! i payed seven hundred bucks for it with 383 and 8 3/4!

The body looks pretty straight in the pics. Sounds like a screamin' deal for $700!

I like it!!! Usta have a 67 post back around 1992. Shoulda kept it. Red with red interior. Don't even have pics of that one.

thanks for the good words, here is the rear of the car it has a 742 case with 456 suregrip (I traded a 97 t-bird for the third member,car was wrecked) axles and 3" studs from Dr-Diff. i only have five hundred in the rear.

Ok the frontend is rebuilt with just suspention kit, 75 dart disc brakes, everything cleand and powder coated....put down 100 bucks for the 75 dart 300 hundred for the rebuild kit,at this point around 1800 into car!

heres one my dad has Hasnt worked on it in cpl years been collecting parts waiting till he has all the major ones before really tearing into the body!

your doing great for 1800 bucks. Hopefully you and your dad can have both cars on the road together. The dart is looking great, keep up the work

the car will be alot of fun for you and your dad. thats how it was for me and my son, even now he's 25years old, when im working on some project he will come and spend time with his dad(old mopars brings a family together).

heres where i'm at with the engine, 383ci and a 727auto, wheel well headers, this setup is to get the car ready for the stroked 400. its a good running engine and the trans seems ok!

so true about the sleep,keep thinking about the next step in the project,i'v aleady worked on the car for about two years (time and money)have a tunnel-ram for it,only paid $275 for with carbs, linkage,and stacks!

Tunnel rams are just awesome, I like it. You can check my project ( carpenters special ) and you can see my sleepless nights.

Ok here is the forward and back limiter,so the engine will stay put. I know allot of people have different ways to do this, So would like to know what you think?

I like the look of your Dart. It reminds me of my Dart when I first started on it. My best time with my car in that trim with a small block on juice was 11.15 at 123 mph. I love the fact that your doing it low budget and using sweat equity to your advantage. I bet your car will still run low 12s with the 383 in it.

I dont know in your part of the woods but its getting harder to fine good parts here kb73rr !!
im always on the look out for some.....going to the mopar day in tulsa oklahoma on 11/07/09 hopfully find a good carb for the car...and at a good price...lol

thanks jcodecharger.....i'm hoping for the 13s with the 383 but 12s would be nice....plans are to build a stroker 400....aka 512ci and mini tub it...then it should push the 11s easy!
p.s.your car looks killer!keep me updated on its prog!

Ok back to work, I now have the front of the engine done, water pump, pullys and alternator!Pullys from 440 source and alt was one i had...alt bracket is a small block one cut to fit!

Just got my new radiator from (JonGottaDemonDad) This was a perfect fit,excellent product,Ordered shipped and on my door step in 6 days! All for $230 dollars!

The new radiator works great Randy,It takes the car a long time to get up to temp. with a 180 thermostat and a 16 inch flex fan. when i put it in temp out side was in the 100's and ran cool!

OK,in the last 8 months i put in a manual valve body,and changed out the dip stick so i would have better access! purchased a new house,slowed things down!
