Going rate for a 1973 440,727, C body 8 3/4 - 02/14/24 01:34 PM

What's the going rate for a drivetrain these days?
440, 727 transmission and a 8 3/4 rear
All are of unknown condition so we are considering them as rebuildable cores.
Everything is currently still in the car which is a 1973 Chrysler New Yorker,
The car has sat for quite sometime outside ,The car itself is a mess, rotted beyond repair.

$2500 wow for a 73.
This car probably hasn’t run in over 30 years or so.

If you get it and want to unload the A/C brackets p.m. me I need a complete set for a 440.

As for cost. It depends on if it runs, drives,
Engines around here are 350 to 1,200 not running to running.
Transmissions $150 to $250
8-3/4 rear gear set 250ish
C body axle 150ish

I sold a complete running 73 440 and 727 trans that we started on the ground and made a video for $1300 three years ago, I imagine a good running one would be higher now... twocents

You sure it has an 8.75?

My 73 Newport Custom had a 9.25.

That could go either way,I had a '73 Imperial, cast crank 440 and a '73 New Yorker with a forged crank 440. Kept the forged motor as the car split in half when jacked up!
