Yes indeed, John - with the condition, low mileage, and dealership factors, I'm almost surprised they're not asking more.

That Ziebart stuff in the engine compartment is gonna be a PITA to remove & clean up...

in my area a car that clean has never been a $500 car. now if it was rusty then yes $500 car. possibly less depending on condition.
as posted before it's a dealership selling. they will probably get it eventually. a close inspection would be required to see if it's really a clean car and not a perfumed turd.
if it wasn't a dealer selling i could see $5 maybe $6K in my area for a clean old car like that these days.

I had a really clean 79 2 door , small block , factory 4 blub .. couldn't get anyone to buy it .. wholesaled to a car flipper , he couldn't sell it .. he sold it cheap to a cheapskate guy locally under 2,000

"if it wasn't a dealer selling i could see $5 maybe $6K"

Still seems a bit high to me, but I agree.

When I made my above comment, I should have mentioned just how far back I was talking. Yeah, yeah, I know nothing is as cheap as it was, but back in the early '90's when I lived back East, I could pick up old 4dr and wagon Mopars all day, every day for $0 to $200 with minimal rust. Proverbial 'old lady owned' cars. A number of them could have looked this nice easily.

For that price the mileage would have to be single digits otherwise what are you getting really? Most cars from that era are easily forgotten for some very good reasons.

Is it ugly? Check.
Is it Slow? As slow as they could make it.
Is it a collectable? Hardly.

I don't think it's ugly, in fact I like the looks of Aspens, two and four door. Slow? Heck yes. IF IF IF it was a 318 and pristine condition MAYBE $7500. But it's not pristine and geez the hiked up rear end looks dumb IMO.

Here's a pristine Volare on BaT and bid is at $13,500! Nicer car but still!

That Volare is indeed nicer - heck, it's got 2,400 miles on it and apparently all its documentation.
But it's still a Slant 6 car, and it's also at a dealership.

I would buy that before anything new being built these days.

That first one has rust and cracked dash, saggy head liner... there have been others at that price thst didn't need anything.
In one hand it seems high for an F body but between trying to find a good one and zero aftermarket support you could spend more then that trying to fix one up if that's the car you were after.

I bought one with 40k on it in 2004ish for $200, but it was really rusty on the bottom side. I drove it for 20k miles before I parted it out. I got more for the grille than I paid for the car!

I pulled this one out of the field last spring. Semi arid desert car its whole life... ran and drove fine. Everything worked and 100% untouched.

$800

Used a ton of parts on a coupe and now its getting a S60, semi built 904 and an undisclosed out of the norm power plant, but still mopar and will hurt some feelings.

Looking back with it being 100% stock I should of tossed a paint job on it and drove the wheels off it.

I need a partial rear 1/4 bu not from rust but what looks like someone backed into it.
