1972 RR/GTX - 10/10/23 11:43 PM

Wondering what members think this car's real-world value is:

https://www.mecum.com/lots/1091923/...hMRBOUyKz1jFGrK7HkLkWQbCb0e7aVcxWoRd9-RU

Reserve was $80k, the high bid was $72k.

Supposedly matching numbers but the engine has been modified by Muscle Motors and has aftermarket dressing throughout the engine compartment.

Thanks for your feedback.

Mike.

Nothing in that info that confirms #s matching or originally TX9.
Someone threw every decoration they could at it, in spite of it being a rare (if legit) factory combo.
I think the seller should have gladly taken the top bid; I'd be nowhere near that price.
Admittedly, though, I'm more of an originality fan.

It's sharp if we had the funds we'd by it.

+1

I have to laugh putting an OE type expensive battery in a otherwise totally modified engine bay

aftermarket diff cover, possibly the dana 60 as well, undercoating sprayed on brake lines, kyb shocks, rattle can painted rear swaybar, deep sump Milidon drag oil pan, filthy interior, 1990's era engine compartment dress up kit and missing/modfied factory parts, no pictures of fender tag or broadcast sheet, looks to be missing the correct duel exhaust cutout rear valance, trunk area looks incorrect and why does the right wheel tub look like it was modified?

Black on the '71 - '74 just didn't do the trick for me and ugh, that engine compartment. Too much shine for me.

Nice car but but the motor bay is stuck in the 90's. 72K is all the money in the world for it in that condition.

What I always find as odd is that people bother to put a mopar battery in a car that is far from stock
