Assuming you could pick it up locally, what is a good std/std or .010”/.010” crank going for these days?

Tough to say there are so few of them out there nowadays. I have seen them for $350-400 but don't know if they sold. I am in the market, but last time I bought one I had to get a short block for $650 just to get a good crank...

Unknown used? I'd pay $100 or so. Cleaned/checked with papers... If it's standard, I'd pay $300-350, .010/.010, a little less, and so on.

Really, they worth that much? I was just going to throw 4 cranks out because the machine shop said it would cost $300 each to polish and it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one.

440 Source wants $899 for a new one, plus shipping. Any new crank should still get checked too as far as tolerances, etc. So figure with shipping and misc, you're going to have $1k in a new crank.

I don’t run across many bare cranks now days, but I just bought std steel cranks for $100 each. Perfect std and both will work with a polish. I have sold cranks for $250. I don’t sell many now. I used to pay $250 to get them ground but I’ve got a lead on a place that will do a really good job for $100. I just have to travel 150 miles. All the shops here are just taking them the distance as a group. I’ll take the next batch and get about four done for future use.

Are you bringing them to DFW?
