'73 Dart Sport 340/auto/ac - 08/26/23 01:00 AM

I REALLY like this car. I don't know about almost $30k though for a '73. But if it were $20k oh boy, I'd be really tempted

Take a good look at the picture of the driver's quarter, ahead of the rear tire, down low. The rust ahead of the tire and where the quarter meets the rocker. That's not superficial surface rust.

I'll admit, the seller mentions this rust in the description but, that amount means there's more in other areas.

Mike.

Yeah it does warrant a good inspection first. It's a Connecticut car so thinking it's seen some snow.

That is a very good looking Dart Sport. The seller may live in Connecticut, but it has PA.
plates on it in the pics. I live in Michigan, but my Duster that I have up for sale, spent most of it's life in Tennessee and Georgia, and has been in dry daily storage since. Could be the same thing with this Dart Sport. Just ask the seller if he knows the whole history on it. The car looks nice, it does have a couple spots on the rockers, but other than that, it looks pretty clean. This car is really similar to mine, a well taken care of vehicle, that looks honest.

Nice car, but the rocker rust makes me wonder about the dog house and inside the quarter panels. Looks like the vinyl roof was added.

The most rusted vehicle I've ever bought came out of PA, in 2000.
Oddly, it was the floor, nothing visible in the rockers or quarters.
I've never bought anything from another winter-salt State, so I can't say what State is worst.
Come to think of it, I worked at a dealership body shop in North Philly back then, and the used car trade-ins were horrendous.

Your car is very nice for sure. I can see you've put a lot of money into it too. This Dart is more for the factory original crowd, and yours has the stepped up performance up

I just noticed the PA plates on the car. IDK where the car spent most of it's time , but the window sticker says selling dealership was in Philly?
Perhaps it has been a lifelong PA. car? The seller would have info on it I would think.

That is a pretty well optioned 340 Dart! But it looks like an old man's car! Needs some subtle changes to make it look cooler! I would start with changing the tires!

Needs 1" over springs. Some taxi rims, and caps, with Cooper 275-60-15s on.the back to fill the space up.
Then Moparts can complain about the Steel wheels agaijn

I like the idea of blackwall 275/60's out back, or even 255/60's which would fit perfectly...but the ralleye wheels are fine.

I like that car a lot. If it was priced better. I have an extra A body 8 3/4 set of ralleys in 15x8 and 15x6.5 and the above 15x8 / 15x6.5 steelies. All.the maintenance stuff here. Just would need tires, could even use air shocks i hsve for now. Glad it cost to.much to buy, as i am allready thinking of ways to fix on it! And y'all are a bad influence
