440 Block, crank, etc. - 07/19/23 07:36 PM

It's been a while since I bought or sold any engines so I'm looking for opinions on what a fair price would be for what I have. It's a 1970 non-hp 440 block with caps from a c-body. I believe it is stock bore. Included with it are a forged crank (not sure but I believe it is the original crank to the block), pistons and rods (again, I think original to the block), harmonic balancer, 402 oil pan and pick-up, both rocker shafts (bare) and the oil pump. Actually, I think all of these parts are original to the block. I don't have the heads. I bought all this from a local guy back in the 90's hoping one day I would use it in something but I don't believe I ever will and I'm tired of it being in the way. I would appreciate opinions on a fair selling price. Thanks.

In my part of the country, that should bring $1000 if it all checks good with no cracks and no rust.

I think a stock bore 1970 block will bring a premium but with it apart with no pullies and no heads I am little bit softer on price than fastmark. The block and crank are worth $500 to a typical guy and a restorer would likely pay more for the 1970 year- maybe $750? It is not a complete core HP engine which would bring the bigger bucks.

440 from a c-body, with caps.
