Challenger T/A JH23J0B299102 - Buyer beware! - 07/19/23 11:31 AM

A previous owner & Moparts member had fake fender tags made for this car years ago, then he sold it. One of the 'tag service' losers made at least 3 different fake tags for it & one of them is still on the car.

Too bad about the tags, looks like a decent car, although too much red for my tastes.
The texture of those tags looks odd, almost pebbled or scratched or something...

Ive always wondered why these folks put out something that looks like a certificate or something official. Seems to have a half/xxx disclaimer but with so many posting it like an real inspection doc. of some sort leading to something being correct is confusing to me.

There's a cream-colored T/A total re-body out there, done decades ago by who some some have called a "premier Mopar restorer" in SoCal...
Every time I see a thread that sounds like a rebodied or tag-swapped T/A, it reminds me of that.

Looks strangely over restored to me. Some parts of the suspension have rust pits while the body pans are perfect. It also has a 71 style e brake system on the car.

It also looks like they covered up the original vent line hole in the rear frame rail and then drilled a smaller hole to pass hose through for the fuel tank vent. Nice

I remembered the VIN & the assorted fake fender tags, but I had not looked at all the photos, thank you! up

Possibly VIN swapped too then! work

In the image below, the third fake fender tag I was made aware of for this car, it is the one circled in red in the first image, I'll also post a closeup screen capture.

Thanks, Carsten - I didn't know that.
Judging by the tag & guide photo, what we have here isn't a car, it's a science project.
