Started in 08 and still made today if you want one new. I don't the number made, but probably not more than a couple dozen. Why Ram didn't make one and brought out the single badge Warlock is beyond me... eyes

Nope, like any niche vehicle there are people who want them and those that don't. Your attitude has always been shown that you don't care what is made, the only good vehicles are what you like. So your opinion does not matter to me and lots of other people, you might actually still grow up one day little boy... rolleyes

Easy Rhino. Someone pee in your Cheerios? I owned a Legit '79 'Lil Red for a long time. I HATE seeing these pathetic attempts to re-create or relive what once was. In my humble opinion, the truck is nothing but a stickered up, J.C. Whitney'ish Ram...nothing more. I agree, some like them, but obviously VERY few people because they just did not sell.

I drove a 79 daily for 4 years and have owned half a dozen of them and 7 Warlocks also. Even Chrysler brought out a Lil Red Dakota, nothing more than a continuation of something they once produced. You feel the same way about new Challengers and Chargers? There is more than just stickers and chrome on these, maybe you should do a little more research, you could get them supercharged also...

Just got a '23 Last Call Widebody Hellcat. And no, they are not the same as the old ones for sure. Fun cars, but not the same. The Lil Red Dakota was a flash in the pan failure from a marketing perspective. Sometimes its best just to leave things in the past and move on, in my humble opinion,.

was the original LRE a sales success ?

from the web
There were only 2,188 Lil' Red Express trucks produced in 1978 and 5,118 produced in 1979, so, all in all, less than 10,000 Lil' Red Express trucks have ever

You are correct. The Demon is a car that is assembled at the Factory. These later gens of "Express Trucks" are tossed together by a dealer using random parts in the hope of capitalizing on something the factory did years ago. Thanks for catching my error.

It was, the goal was to drive showroom traffic and get attention. VERY successful at both goals. If you'll recall, it was faster than the Corvette which garnered LOTS of media articles, again driving showroom traffic.

And so were the cars that Mr. Norm did starting in 1968 with the Dart GSS that prompted Chrysler to build 640 440 Darts in 1969. Then bring in the later GSS's which built upon what Chrysler was starting to do, then carrying on after Chrysler decided to drop the high performance cars. Then Mr. Norm built the midwest custom van culture after it started out west. Nothing more than continuing what Norm started. These later examples were approved by Norm himself too. The latest examples of the "last call" Challengers and Chargers are nothing more than sticker cars too, ala NASCRAP...
