Confusing W150 on FB - 05/24/23 03:55 PM

The ad states: "1978 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 with 360 V8 engine. This truck runs and drives terrific. Lots of new parts already installed including battery, starter, alternator, muffler, tires, etc. Tags are good through April 2024. This truck comes with extra parts and new paint to help bring it back to life. $4000 OBO clean title in hand".

That's clearly a big block under hood.

Kinda like the truck, minus the lift - but there's no telling what the ad scenario is: unfamiliar, listed by friend, scam, etc...
Seems pretty cheap, but sometimes Oregon stuff is.
Looks somewhat pieced together, but no mention of rust...

Could be a flip. Seems prices are inching down on stuff. A W series used to be double or more ask for what that is not long ago. That could be a fun beat around truck for an accepted offer, even if a patchwork.

I'm in Oregon, where is this truck at? If nearby I could take a look

If I were anywhere close, I'd be looking. One possibility is they took picture prior to yanking the big block for a 360. But it'd still be a nice truck with a 360 especially if solid and at this price. Two different valve covers I see. Wonder what year the engine is. Again, lots of unknowns but worth a peak. Drip rail area looks good from pictures vantage point.

Looks to have an earlier gauge cluster. Something going on at bottom of driver's door. Originally a lighter green I guess.

Can somebody get me a contact number? I don't do FB.
My takeaway is the dash, steering wheel and cargo light switch are 76 pieces.
What year did the in-cab tank go away?

"this listing isn't available anymore" - so either a good deal and sold, or something nefarious that got it whacked.

Dang I wish I knew which. I'll be watching for it to be relisted.
