I've just worked up a group discount agreement with Filters1 for WIX products. Everyone has seen the studies where WIX filter are much better than most other filter companies so many of us use nothing but WIX on all of our vehicles. You can get incredible prices on all your WIX products by using this group discount for your Mopar, race car, daily drivers, etc Oil Filter, Air Cleaners, Fuel Filters, and Transmission Filters
The main filter most of us use is the WIX racing filter 51515R, which works for small and big blocks. They are only $6.40, if you buy them from anywhere else they will cost $8.99 to $11.00. If you order $50 or more, shipping is free.

#51515 $4.75 normal/standard Big or Small block 1qt oil filter, street version filters to about 20 microns, and has a bypass

It just so happens i am in need of a oil filter now.
Do you know if Wix makes a smaller size than a regular type than like we all use? I have some space issues now with my BB and would like a smaller filter.

The 51068 is the shorter/stubby version of the 51515. And obviously the R is the racing filter. I personally run the 51068 on my car since my headers wont allow for the big 51515 to fit.

#51806: A heavy-duty 51515 with a built-in standpipe to keep the filter positively full of oil after shutdown in base-down mounting situations (slant-6, for example). These also greatly reduce oil spillage when removing a base-down filter at oil change time, see

#51773: An extra-long 51515 if you want your filter to hold two quarts of oil and have the space for it

I have a long stand pipe on my 198 slant. Will the long stand pipe work in my application?
Also the 2 quart version work on a slant?

thanks for the tip - is there a difference between the 51515 and the 51515R filter wise ? or is just a hp version like the Fram HP1 - HAVE been thinking of swithching to the Wix after all the positive comments on the Wix as opposed to the HP1 I've been using since I can remember - my combo is 440 with 2 inch Hooker super comps - HP is tight against rad hose (rubs) - thanks - Joe

THe "R" is a full flow race filter--no bypass. It also filters to about 60 micons, whereby the street version filters to about 20 microns, and has a bypass. I think the burst pressure of the R filter would also be higher than the street.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you're asking whether the #51806 internal-standpipe filter will work in conjunction with the tall pump-mounted standpipe on a slant-6, the answer is yes, though the pump-mounted standpipes, by their design, introduce a considerable restriction to oil flow. If you're going to use the #51806 filter with inbuilt standpipe, the optimal plan is to replace the pump-mounted standpipe with an ordinary low straight-through fitting such as comes with all new oil pumps.
You can't use the short or super-short filters with the tall standpipe.

Yep, as long as there's nothing in the way. It's a tight fit in narrow engine compartments (e.g. '60-'62 A-bodies, especially '62 w/inner fender mounted horns) but it does fit.

Hi, this is Ryan from Filter 1. We did get quite a few more orders than we usually get for a few part numbers 
This normally wouldn't have affected us as our minimum stock is 168 for 51515, 42 for 51068, 48 for 51515R, etc... However this is the busy season for filters and our stock orders from Wix have been irregular at best, so your order did not ship until monday. I checked UPS and it is out for delivery today though, so expect it soon!
Now that we can adjust our minimums for the moparts crew, each order placed before 1 should ship same day. If you guys have any questions, feel free to email me, send me a PM or call.

I haven't visited this post in a while, sorry guys, but this group discount is permanent. The more we buy as a group the better discount we will get. But the prices I gave in the original post will be our base, they shouldn't ever get higher than that unless WIX push a price increase. But as long as we keep ordering like we are I don't think we will every have to worry about that.

The discount seems to work for ANY wix filter if you buy it in bulk.
I just priced filters for my bike, my jeep and another 12 51515's. I should be set for 10 years.

Does the 70 383 filter work on my 69 383? Looks like Road Runner only goes from 71, and 383 from 70 on the Wix catalog.....

As far as I know you can use the same filter on small block and big blocks, they are all interchangeable. I been using the same filter on my both my 340 and my big blocks. 51515 is the standard street filter and 51515R is the racing filter most people use one of these.

It looks like a Neon with the 2.0L from 1995 to 2005 takes the Wix 51348. The only other filter used for that car is a 51516 in 2005 and 2006 with the 2.4L.
edit: That's strictly according to the catalog, it's not to say that the 51348 is the only filter that will work on there.

Just go to the site and start an order, then you can click on the catalog and look the part numbers up and put them on the order form and it will price them for you and you can back out of the order at anytime. They will typically be 30% less that what you can get them for locally.

On the cummins filters, I get all mine for the truck from them as well. Just ordered more today. I am not sure about posting prices, but they are great prices.
I use the 57620XE (that is a better filter then the regular 57620)
I use the 33585XE for the fuel filter canister
I use 33528 which is a 2micron filter I use for my additional filtering system.
again, go to the site and follow the directions and look these filters up. They are cheap.
Man Wade is quick. SO there are your prices. The XE version of the oil filter is 8.39 I beleive.

I was going to buy some 51515 filters and then read a comment about how a lot of guys are buying the R version. That one flows more but only filters 60 microns. Is there a flow problem for the 51515 (7-9 GPM) on street/strip cars? What RPM would the standard flow start to run into problems?

My apologies, the transition is not going as smoothly as I had hoped
. If you just enter your filter list on the homepage into the quick order field, press the Quick Order button, and then enter the discount code:
moparts onto the next page it should work fine.
The discount is off of the entire order total, not each individual filter. If you want to be sure that the unit prices are correct you can test a few by adding them individually and using the discount code. For example, this is what I see when trying the 51515R:

I just ordered some filters and the 57899s I got for my Hemi Ram didn't work, it was like the threads were not cut right. Anyone else have this problem?

I contacted Filter 1 about this and they promptly refunded my money back on these two filters, great service.
They said they have not had any complaints but to be safe I went with a purolator pure 1 filter and it threaded on with no problem. I'll try them again when I order more filters for the rest of the fleet.

Gonna update this, if for nothing than my own reference. Our discount has dropped, or the overall price has gone up. Not sure which. Change is about 30-40 cents per filter.

Well, it would appear that the discount is now only about 9%. 12 51515R oil filters comes to $103.03, from $113.64.
Anybody else order some recently with a different deal?

Moparts discount still works although it is around 5% now. Still great service - ordered on Saturday, shipped on Monday, delivered on Wednesday. Awesome!

I just put in an order. They have good prices to start with. And with the Moparts.com discount it is even better.
The oil filters I ordered were about half the price of my local auto parts stores for Wix filters.
And free shipping with over $50 order.

Anyone ordered filters from this place lately? Communication is lacking and I keep getting the run around when I call. I’ll update this if I ever get my filters…….
Update:
After 1.5 weeks and 4 phone calls and three emails they finally sent me my partial order. They are affiliated with an AG trac store , my order shipped after I had called them with my complaint. Not once did they ever call me back or email.
Hoping I get the rest of my order. The filter I received has a beat up box but the filter looks ok.
Don’t think I’ll purchase again…….not worth the lack of communication and wondering where my order is.

i ordered a case of 51515 filters on 11/5/21 and it was shipped the same day. i got it a few days later.
i realize the snafu in today's shipping market, but i was pleased with my service.
i just don't know what to think now.

RockAuto is cheaper on all of those Wix numbers than Filter 1.

If you are buying a case of them it's still cheaper, if you are buying one then go to Autozone.

Just made another order but it looks like the $50 free shipping no longer applies. I do not know what the new threshold is. It was $10 for shipping so not really all that bad. Will see how long it take to process and deliver.

So I did this order on the 29th of November. After a few weeks I had no notifications of any kind so I contacted them through their website three times and no responses. I tried the 800 # but it said the voice mail was full. I few days ago I received notification that the orde had shipped. I got it today and the everything was there. No issues with the product, I like the WIX brand but wish the Filter1 customer service was a little more active. Maybe part of budget cuts/covid layoffs??? Anyway, I suppose maybe "supply chain issues". Guess this is the new norm? For me it was a 5 week delivery, the discount is 5% and you need to order $75 now to get the free shipping.
I already had plenty of the 51515 oil filters but ordered 51516 for the Dakota and Liberty - those ran $5.53 after discount.

I just placed an order the "moparts" discount code seemed to work for me. You can also get a better price on Rock Auto but the wix 51515 is 54.72 for 12. Can't buy them each.
DC1: The Wix 51515R is 9..57 on Rock Auto as well.
