Hemi Heater Adapters - 10/26/09 01:54 PM

Who makes the adapters on the front of the 392 Hemi heads for running a heater? I am running a chev water pump. The thermostat is on the drivers head but I need basically a Tee on the passenger head for the crossover and heater hose attachment.

I am running a big block Chevy water pump on my 392 and the pump has 2 threaded holes I assumed were for the heater hoses. Its a little hard to see, but one of the holes is right on top of the pump.

If there is room, you could possibly come off the water ports on the back of the cylinder heads. HotHeads part number 21603. Tell Bob that I sent you.

The motor on the stand is one I built for my sister. This is my motor and it has (had) a hot heads crossover, but I want to put a heater in the car, cool nights in the northwest. I guess I can just add a tee on the passenger side head for heater supply and tee into the inlet side of the pump for the return. I paid to have this done, shop went out of business, did not get all my parts back, or money. Glad I didn't lose the car.

as said in earlier post ,,,HOT HEADS has what you want,,or as said,, hot heads also has a aluminum plate that you can use on the back of the head,,same location as in the front of the head for the cross over,,,hot heads aluminum plate is thereaded for a pipe fitting ,,which works out well or you can do what i did, before hot heads came out with this nice looking plate,,,

get a piece of flat plate,,drill it for the mounting holes,,weld a bung on it for the pipe,,on side of your heater needs to come from a hotter source then the water pump,,2 hoses running off the water wont produce much heat at all,,then a plate on the other side to hide your engine temp sender,,,
