i`m trying to get the glass out of the door on my 47 desoto 2 door sedan. it doesn`t look like its bolted in. how does it come out?

I'd say that the channel at the bottom is press fit with the rubber. You have to remove the window and channel from the crank arms.

Not sure, but the glass is probably glued to the window lift channel. On my 47 Plymouth you had to remove the guide bar and slide the channel towards the rear (or front, don't remember for sure.) Sorry, its been a few years. Gene

I pulled the glass(well what was left of it) and window mechinisms out of a 47 dodge tudor. If you want to pull just the channel with the glass out, there are two round clips that fasten the channel to the lifting arms. remove them and you should be able to pull the glass out. The glass is "glued" to the channel. You might be able to heat up the channel with a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the rubber and pull the channel off. later shawn
