Mopar B pillars are slanted. That is not something people would change back to straight.
Grill looks like a caddy, but that 49 grille is awful close..
Car has been chopped and lowered.
Items to compare are the hood to fender lines, the vestigal running boards, and the trunk lines.
Even the hood bulge from the front could have been added, although that would be a lot of work.
46-48 Chevy has the straight B pillars, but the fenders extend into the doors.
Other GMs have slanted posts.
The big giveaway is the way the trunk meets the greenhouse.
Take a look at this 46 Ford and compare the running boards, the greenhouse and the way the trunk lines up.

They did some major work in front, but I think that's it, 46-48 Ford coupe.

The car was built by a japanese fellow that moved over here to Kentucky if I remember correctly. He really didn't know much but learned by doing. I do believe he started with a mopar. It was in one of the mags within the last 2 years, I'm thinking CKD or OSK had a story on it. I can't find the issue that it's in. I think Street Rodder had a pic of it when it was at one of the indoor shows, Detroit Autorama comes to mind but not sure. Sorry couldn't be much help. later shawn

Pretty cool job. Lotsa' slicin' and dicin'on this one. Looking at the relationship of the decklid to body, body to fenders and the cowl between door and hood, I'm stickin' with Ford unless someone comes up with facts to prove otherwise.

Here's those pictures and another 46 Ford also modified, but the body lines are there.
Compare the trunk and fender lines, the lower edge of the body and the greenhouse (even with the chop).

I remember that, I think it was in Street Rodder, your right it was built by some Japanese guy. I remember it because he used a 49 Wayfarer grill.
