Wipers for '36 Ply coupe

I'm finally going to replace the vacuum wiper with an electric unit and was wondering what others have found to work well. I have a '36 Plymouth coupe ( P1). A universal unit called the Mighty Wiper looks like it would work, but is a bit pricey. Anybody have any experience with that product? Any suggestions?

I've cobbled late model wiper systems in most of my hot rods through the years. Some of them worked fairly well, others were OK and a few almost functioned OK.
Spend the money and buy something that works. When you caught in a downpour, having wipers that work will quickly outweigh what ever they cost. Gene

Some days, I wish I was smart enough to listen to my own advice! The cheap guy inside of me too often wins out, and I end up with a cobbled mess I have tons of time in, just to get to work OK.

i know what you mean about spending tons of time , only to have to re-do something to make it work like it was supposed to ! as to the OP wiper deal, in the past on 35-to about 40 mopars, i have used vw bug wiper assemblys by lengthening the mounting pad and pivot arm. it worked pretty good, and was simple to do. the bad thing now is early bugs are not very plentyfull in bone yards. at the time, it was a cheap alternitive that worked.

It really depends on where you live and what you want in the end. Here on the West coast the chances of being caught in a summer rain squall are pretty remote nor would I ever plan on taking a hot rod / street rod out in the rain intentionally. With that said, to fit something in the (very small) area in the enclosed header above the windshield in my 37, I did a bit of wrecking yard searching with a tape measure and came away with a rear window (hatch) wiper for a Subaru Justy. It fit and functioned perfectly and allowed me to get around the law stating one windshield wiper is required.
