48-49ish Dodge,Plymouth Chrysler custom coupe - 07/25/13 08:05 PM

My brother has located what looks to be a 48-49ish Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler. Hard to tell in the picture he sent me on my cell phone. It belongs to his buddies neighbors Grandparents next door. Both Grandparents have passed away & the Grandson who my Brother & his buddy were talking to knew nothing about the car. The family is liquidation the house, belongings and the car. The Grandson thought it had a old Hemi in it (331 ? maybe). It is very solid but faded & all there. Looks to be original. Are these era old Chryslers desirable or worth anything? We are not looking to flip. My brother & I are deciding between the two of us if one of us wants to take on an old project like this.

IN A HEARTBEAT!

No they don't have exceptional value, but they can be very good cars to drive. Business coupes are the bomb. Google Search "High and Mighty ramchargers"

Stock, it's a flathead six. They can be fun projects but it won't be cheap, easy or simple.

Need a pic to identify it. There were business coupe Dodges and Plymouths until 51 or 52, but no Chrysler business coupes after 1948. None of them would have had a hemi stock. Here's a 49 Dodge business coupe (late hemi powered):

based off of the picture he sent me & looking into it a little deeper this one looks to be a coupe custom???? It is a 5 window body style not the 3 window business coupe body style. I still like it alot though. looks more like this but baby blue.

Like I said. Not the best picture of it since it was dark out when he saw it. Been sitting since 1984 & both right side tires are flat. The body is sold though with the usually patina & service rust. It looks to be all there. W.I.W. Not flipping. I would like to street rod or restore it.

Keep getting scetchy details from my brothers buddy who lives next door. I am going to go take a look at it this weekend myself. Don't have any money & don't need another project but I just have to go look at it.

Saw this car at Springfling. I belive he's from SLC Utah. He said he got around 33 MPG average from SLC to LA. Very nicely done car.
