Would be perfect in a Model A or B, just the right size and with 2000 lb to haul around it'd be quick.

Running my 241 with 3x2 Offenhauser and A833 4spd/3.55 sure-grip in a '36 Plymouth coupe. Great combination, but a bit tricky at times.

i can e mail you a free site that will resize your pics,,its free,, i added it to my tool bar let me know,,

i recieved e mails from your replys, but moparts cant find them when i click on them,,, u said rodchester carbs,do you know the cfm by any chance ?? and what makes them think 300 plus horse power ? its a 241 correct ?? did u have higher compression pistons made ? if so where di u get them ?? factory compression is under 7.5 its more like 7.1 advertised, i wonder what it truely is ??? if TRWATERS is around he my chime in,,,stock horse power on a 241 is either 140 or 180 ide have to look but still moves pretty good for that kind of power in my coupe

The pistons are custom forged aluminum from JE Pistons and i'm running 10 to 1 c.r., balanced, bored .030 over, 270 degree cam (don't remember lift), and polished intake on the heads. I looked at the documentation on the Rochesters, but didn't see the CFM.

I am going to run a 241 in my 26 chrysler sedan. all stock motor. maybe a 4.10 rear with overdrive tranny. I was going to put on a offy 2x2 but may just run the stock 2 barrell with a holley carb.

The pistons were custom made by JE, job # 298446. This was done back in Jan. '02, and the price on the engine builder's shop order for the 8 pistons was $1,054.00.

wow,,i wonder if they kept the mold,or specs ,,,,

Re: Baby Hemi - 07/12/13 04:43 AM

it's been eleven years, but worth a try The shop that did the engine build had to make a clay mold of the top of the cylinder and send that to JE for them to work off of.

Re: Baby Hemi - 07/12/13 05:49 PM

If you get the number to JE I bet they have all the specs for your piston. That's why they have job numbers, racer breaks a piston and wants replacements.

My baby hemi is still in its crib, right where it was placed after birth. The crib is a 53 Coronet convertible. Sorry, photo won't load, will try later.

i don't mean this to be shameful self-promotion, but this picture of my coupe makes me feel better about all the hours, money, frustration, etc., that are part of any build.
