2011 W8 engine masters engine in car.Update 11-5-11 - 10/23/11 06:19 PM

This is first pass bad spin in 1st and 2nd gear but check out the sound of this thing. turn it up.... wife was trying to film and watch my 2year old at same time and was new camera. I will load better pass but its HD and take forever!!!!

I give up. Uninstalled Adobe old version. Installed version 11 and it still will not work for me.

So how did the engine go as far as engine master challenge?

sounds AWESOME!!!..9.97 @142mph spinning out of the hole then you backed off and spun for a fraction then hooked up...

9.7's in it or better?

Should go much faster than 9.50 I have more video I will try to post tonight.
I think it will go 9.teens with the small cam that's in it.
Look at when it's in 3rd gear 330' out I could not use 1st at all and was spinning in 2nd so I just short shifted into drive.

I think it'll run a 9.30 unless you pick up some
pretty good mph

The calculator said a 9.27 in a perfect run with your mph. I was figuring 9.50's on your first outing figuring you probably will not make that perfect run first time out. Did you make another pass? How fast did you go? Sounds awesome.

boy..do I stand corrected...

I love the early Darts...I had a 64 Dart GT back in 68 w/a slant 225 and 3 on the tree...those cars were so light and hook up on stock springs...

I was eating 442's and such on the street going stop light to stop light...they just couldnt believe it had only 6 cylinders...LOL

yours is just awesome...

Sounds great. That car has the capability of really going if you're able to get it to hook hard. You're definately making some good power there.

Back to the track some better hook my buddy worked on shocks front and rear and its best car has driven in long time. (was fun to drive for a change) Still down on 60' only 1.35 should be in the mid 1.20s.
Made some 1/8 mile hits and this is the best .

Made one 1/4 mi hit and was spinng at end of first gear and got into the limiter and was out of shape in 2nd gear. But from best 1/8 it should go 8.90s at about 151 on clean pass. This is still small intake and small cam [Email]262@.050"[/Email] BTW I am car K170

Brett's Dart weighs 2970 lbs. w/driver.

I come up with 744 HP at that weight for 148 MPH.
790 HP if he can wring 151 MPH out of it.

Always follow the engine Masters builds and wondered if they ran as well on the track as they do on the Dyno's,now I know. That sounds frekin aswem. would you tell Me the header size,collectors,etc..

this calc is pretty darn close ET wise and power prediction with bretts combo!

olny change was I put the bigger of the 2 cams I tested with. 255at .050" vs the 262at .050" thats in it now. was about 30 peek HP better but 50lbs tq less at the lower RPM. the engine is not set on kill yet cam is in at 108 made more power at 104 and IG timing at 28* made best power at 30* on dyno. The carb is just as it was pulled off dyno from engine masters. Dale at CFM will need to get it back over winter set it back up for drag car.

Thanks guys been long road and more to go.
But this deal has been about my CNC port for update of W8 heads looks like they are working.
Hope to do drag race cam over the winter and it picks it up what I think/want it to. This is the largest CI engine I have ever done for me/my car.
Before this most of my engines were 365 CI or less so this 411 CI is large for me but small in the world of stroker small blocks.
Need to get some more updated heads on other engines.

Yeah, i have a CFE sheet metal intake for my w8s that we tried on the dyno when we did my motor. It has bigger ports than my colemans but i think they would match brett's bigger port opening perfectly he said.
