Was good to see a pair of Mopars in the finals...
Jim must have done something good... it went straight
and stayed in the groove... in the last few weeks
they has some issues of spinning to hard and/or getting
out of the groove... so as of now I think he is a plus

Great job Vincent in Pro Stock.

Let's also not forget Jack Beckman who also won and now leads the Funny Car points chase.

It was an all Dodge final in both classes!

Prior to this race, when was the last time that there was a all Mopar final in Pro Stock? It seems like it has been a long dry spell.

//Allen Johnson Wins All-MOPAR NHRA Pro Stock Final At Englishtown
Mopar® Dodge Avenger NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Pro Stock driver Allen Johnson earned his first win of the season at the 42nd Annual NHRA SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. on Sunday, June 5, defeating teammate Vincent Nobile in an all-Mopar final round to earn his ninth career win in 22 final-round appearances.

Johnson won at the starting line, as Nobile, who also competes with Mopar HEMI® engines supplied by Roy Johnson, Allen’s father, fouled out on a red-light start by a mere 0.006-seconds. Allen Johnson, owner and driver of the J&J Racing Mopar Dodge Avenger, turned in a pass of 6.689-seconds at 210.64 mph with a reaction time of 0.013 in the final round. The matchup marked the first all-Mopar Dodge final in Pro Stock since the Fall 2009 Las Vegas event (Larry Morgan vs. Rickie Jones).

Re: Pro stock Spoiler DONT READ unless you know - 10/18/11 07:07 AM

Thanks Everyone!! It turned out to be a great weekend! We struggled the last two weekends unfortunately but we both came up huge in Phoenix! My car always seems to run really well in the heat so it was really no surprise to me or my team that we did well, we just need to get our cold weather package together so we dont fall behind at times like in Maple Grove. Now to just keep the momentum going, especially with the support from all our Mopar fans in which I really appreciate! It looks like I have a good shot at the top 5 this year and possibly stealing that #2 spot from Greg. Just need the luck to continue and i think mine and allens Mopars will be really good in Vegas!
