TEXAS (Mopar knowledgeable machine shop near Austin? - 09/06/11 04:52 AM

Guys. I am looking for a Mopar (Small Block) knowledgeable machine shop in Texas. Preferably near Austin. I live in Killeen (Ft Hood).

Closest shop I know of is Diamond Back in Needville which is 3.5hrs from me. Actually 10 mins from my Dad's house.

Looking for someone closer.

You talking about Fugly? Haha, I've never ran one of his motors but he builds some pretty sweet and unique rides!

I can't help you down that way, but if you get desperate and don't mind shipping I'll reccommend D&L Machine here in the Amarillo area. It it comes to that just shoot me a PM and I'll get you their info...

I'd be happy to take dnyo vids or whatever to help you out if you wind up this way. Might check with Capital City Mopars.

Call Jack at "Precision Machine" in Waco, he did up my 451 short block & heads, he does it all, GM/Ford/Mopar.

Thanks for the Input!!! I used to hang out at Ledford's in Waco. But he's mostly Chebby and Furd stuff and I have seen his crew and equipment. I'll just say they are all very-dated unless he's upgraded in the last 5-6yrs. I'll give precision a visit the next time I'm home.
