Well it's Not looking Good for having the woman's engine ready for her car. I may just put my car in the for sale area and just watch for the weekend.
She isn't real Happy right now to hear the news about her engine.

I'll be there Thurs am in the lot, waiting. No chowder this year. Sorry. I will be on the race side, near a fence with power. I'll need it for the trailer and press. Some of our dealers will be up and running, but I will have the wire press for sets and burnt up leads. Look for the signs.. Racing the GTX in Pro.

Well the woman decided to race a different car now so it looks like we will both be there racing.
She will be in sportsman and I will be in Pro.
My car is still for sale so if someone wants to see it look me up.

1:30pm Time Trial #2-All classes
4:30pm Gamblers Race, Box & No Box
10:00pm Secure Track. Late arrivals go to Linder’s Lot

Camping at trailer is free there are dedicated camping area that costs something. They have showers but not sure yet on cost and when they open in morning.

Showers at the track are $3 and you purchase your shower ticket at the concession stand.

Tent and motor home camping areas are available during MOST spectator events at Summit Motorsports Park.
•To guarantee you have a spot, we highly recommend that you secure a camping spot in advance, as many of our events sell out.
•Due to the limited amount of camping and motor home spaces available, 'DAY OF' sales cannot be guaranteed.
•The following rules DO NOT apply to the NHRA National Event and Night Under Fire! Those wishing to camp at these races, will be provided with applicable rules unique to those shows.

CAMPING 1.WE permit the following vehicle types in our primitive camping areas: truck campers (loaded into the bed of a pickup truck), pop-up trailers also known as tent or folding camping trailers, and tent camping.
2.One passenger vehicle or two motorcycles are permitted per campsite; extra vehicles must park in spectator parking.
3.The Family Campground is reserved for families with children and everyone is required to behave accordingly. Quiet hours will be strictly enforced between 11pm and 7am.
4.Due to safety concerns, the Health Department has determined that no generators are permitted in this camping area.

RV/MOTORHOME 1.TRACKSIDE electric and non-electric motorhome areas: recreational vehicles are permitted including Class A, B & C, travel trailers, fifth wheels, sport Utility or Toy Hauler and truck campers. No pop-up, folding camping trailers or tents.
2.Up to one additional motor vehicle or two motorcycles are permitted to park in your Motorhome site. (*golf carts, ATV, etc., count as one vehicle). Additional trailers are not permitted on the site.
3.Motorhomes should be parked pulled-in or backed-in & centered on the motorhome designated number.
4.One framed, properly secured canopy is permitted on the motorhome site in addition to attached awnings.

GENERAL CAMPING/MOTORHOME RULES 1.The owner of the Camping/Motorhome site will be responsible for all members of his/her party.
2.After 2:00am, any noise complaints from neighbors in all camping/motorhome areas are grounds for immediate removal. (Exception: see Family Camping above)
3.To gain access to a Camping/Motorhome space, patrons must have both a Camping/Motorhome admission pass, AND a daily racetrack admission ticket. Only full event ticket holders will be permitted on the Trackside Motorhome or Family Camping sites after racing is completed.
4.Campfires are permitted; guests must provide their own fire ring.
5.Please assist us in maintaining our park by leaving your site as clean as you found it.
6.All roadways and walkways must be kept clear.
7.Due to race car movement within all pit areas, arrival and departure times must be observed.
8.Alcohol may be consumed responsibly on your site only. Please do not walk around the park with an open container.
9.The speed limit in the pits is 10 miles-per-hour. All motor vehicle operators must have a valid state driver’s license.
10.Please keep your pets on a leash; and clean up after them immediately..
11.No glass containers of any kind are permitted on our grounds.
12.No fireworks of any kind are permitted on the grounds.
13.The Summit Motorsports Park Campground/Motorhome Manager may exercise his discretion in the enforcement and application of these rules.
14.State and county health department rules must be obeyed. Dumping wastewater onto the ground or into holes on facility property is not permitted.
15.Illegal activities or activities that violate local laws and Camping/Motorhome rules are not permitted. Lewd behavior, offensive signs, public intoxication and/or profanity will not be tolerated. Violators will be subject to arrest and/or removal from the facility as well as forfeiture of all renewal rights. NO REFUNDS!

We cleaned up the motorhome and loaded the dart up tonight. Plan on leaving Friday morning. The forecast looks amazing.

My wife is curious where she can watch the OSU vs Miami game at on Saturday night.

What !! you do not have a TV in that motor home ?

We have tv but no satellite and the game is on ESPN at 8pm.

Wellguys, it doesn't look good for me or my brother to be there. Our dad is still in ICU at riverside after his back surgery. It will have been two weeks tomorrow and I just am not comfortable leaving again. I went to the 10K nats the weekend after his surgery, but he has had a couple of set backs since then. So be careful, have fun, and if you have a chance, say a prayer for my pops recovery. Thanks, John

Sorry to hear that John.

On an up note, While I didn't get to race this weekend due to the rain I did get invited to stay for a private track rental on Sun.

I learned a lot and make some good steps in the right direction. Car was working great till the starting line went away.

To many DOT's and not enough slicks to keep the starting line from getting tore up.

The only real down side is I couldn't just leave the whole setup out there in the pits till next weekend.

Thinking of your dad John, hope to see you and Buckeye Bandit/Brawler I forget... at the track

We are all loaded up. We will be leaving tonight at 7 pm, just a shy over 14 hours between towing and fueling and eating. We like having a extra day to relax and make sure we get there safe and sound. Cant wait to see you guys in Linders Lot. John John and my sweet Elisa.

I've been off the board for a few years, have just been starting to lurk around again. I still have my interceptor, but it's been put on the back shelf for quite some time.

However, I will be here all weekend, but I'll be working rather than enjoying the show. (hopefully will find some time to cruise the pits)

Do you have to be entered in Pro,SP,or any other class to race in the gamblers race? I'm not interested in going rounds I just need to make a few time runs before I put it away for the winter Do I get a Tech.card for the gamblers race?

Been working on the Belvedere all summer. Decided to take a break this weekend. Aired up the tires in the Volare and charged the battery. Washed the truck and trailer tonight in the rain. Car hasn't been out of the trailer since the last Septembers Norwalk race. I'll be there tommorow night. Stop by introduce yourself and have a beer.

i have to work all day fri.- but the car is loaded and the truck is all fueled up..hopefully be cruising in around 7 pm fri. night... hell, with the looks of this thread, we could have a moparts members only race and have a VERY competitive field. maybe we should have a "bounty"....all moparts members that are racing throw in $10(or whatever)...the moparts member that goes the furthest on Sunday..gets the pot.-ties split. ..just a thought

Just talked to my pops. A little over 20 people in Linders Lot and a density altitude of 880

Not gonna make it this year. BUT! Finally landed a great job . So I'll be back at it next year (albeit as a duck, but back none the less).

Also, I have found out that I may be a pizz poor racer but, I am a far worse spectator!

Got everything packed up and loaded, the Duster is on the trailer, we'll be leaving very early tomorrow morning. The weather couldn't be better for the days I'll be there...sunny and cool (68 on Saturday, 75 on Sunday.)

Just got home. Had a great time, I'll post some pics soon.

Great show weather was perfect broke the motor on first TEN-0 run thew a rod on top end put a nice hole in the pan rail, guess it may be time to upgrade....
