There's a nice big block build, can you post some specs on the motor and heads when you get a chance.

I don't know anything about Holbrook, but at least he gives a little more than some guys. I love when there is nothing more than corrected torque and horsepower shown.
It does look like a nice piece,by the way!

i got backfrom michigan late last night i would like to thank pete and chuck .there was alot of fabrication to do.the motor came out awesome,it made excellent power with no problems.we found on the dyno what the motor wanted, fuel and timing.it made more power than a moved centerline 588 with tunnel ram and a predator 588 ,with 1 point lower compression all dyno'd on chris holbrook's dyno .i would also like to thank chris holbrook,he has a awesome shop and it was cool meeting a IHRA pro stock champ.i would also like to thank marty and steve koleno you guys make the best block.the motor is a588 b1 pso by best machine .it is a head developed from petes head .they have a cnc program for it.it has a bryant crank ,grp rods,cp pistons comp cam marcella manifold, two sv1 carbs they were pretty close as they came from pro systems.i went with apeterson r4 pump it pulled 15 inches of vacumn, charlies dry sump pan.i hope it goes in the car soon i need headers they want 3000 for stainless.i want to try to get out atthe shakedown.i want to thank everyone again, withoutall these great products this would not have been possible.later johnny.

Hi Johnny..

Yes, there is the ADRA that runs at Speedworld.. Also There are the Team races...

Lots of stuff with PSCA..

Work here is most likely just as anywhere else in the country. Maybe a bit better, but who really knows.. And in 4 years who could even predict..

But real estate prices are way down..

We haven't raced for real since the wreck in 2008..

When I finally get my car from Al in Vegas, maybe we'll race a bit..

Or maybe I'll just sell it..

Looks good, and nice numbers...

Very nice. Besides the awesome PSO heads, what cam duration and lift is needed to make all those cubes continue to make power at 7800 rpm?

And what header dimensions (primary dia and length) were used on the dyno, and also the new car headers?

hi Jim the dyno headers were 2.25 to 2.375 to 2.5 with a 5 inch collector, not a merged one .the headers i had made are 2.25 to 2.375 to a 4.5 inch collector ,a formed collector not merged the primary length is 25 inches.i think the dyno headers were about the same length. the cam is something pete and chuck have been working on i cant give out the specs sorry.it made awesome power.they want me to go through the traps at 8400.i think the car will fly with the clutch.laterjohnny.

Am I to guess that's a GM deal?

PS Johnny, I understand the cam deal as my engine guy was wanting me to keep it confidential, as well. I know he put a lot of time into that combo, and the cam is the key. Your bullet made impressive power, and I was hoping you would be able to test before me. Were you going to build an engine specific converter or use what you have? That's what I'm going to do at the start. I have my 572 B1 converter, and it was on the tight side for that combo.
