OMG .... and the local-racer is the one making that program come-together and be possible !

LOOK at that Jr Dragster ...

You got that right,Doc!! It is always the little guys that pay for the show cars...Last year it was 80.00...I did not go...Yet they will have a spectator count between 5-7 thousand people at 25.00 a shot...And I guarantee the staging lanes will have around 125 Pro and Super Pro cars...

I remember the last BIG SHOW at Detroit Dragway ... Benny the Bomb, wheelstanders, a couple of Fuel FC's etc .....

To race ? ... it was 15 beans ... to WATCH on the spectator side was 20 or 25 !!

I won bracket TWO that nite ....800 to win 100 r/u. I knew the guy in the final ...I split the money B4 the final ...and we raced for a HUN.

Is Detroit Dragway still open?

It's not 1980 anymore. Prices go up. You pay, you have a good time. $90 entry to get half you money back after 2nd round isn't bad, and 2K to win? Sounds like a decent deal to me. Then again, I still know that track has to make money to survive.

I hear what you are saying,Jeff. This year there has been record car counts and I know they have to survive. I am fortunate to have a nice track only 37 miles from home. If Tri-State and CFR were the same distance,I would choose Tri-State..

We will be there,Russ! You guys get hosed on the entry fees worse than we do!! Just look for someone in an orange J&C Performance shirt..We will all have them on and someone should know were to find me..
