any updates on the race?
Quote:thats what I was thinking. 185 has the mph to run in the 3 sec zone. but I bet they are giving it up down low.
Looks like they made some tuning changes....he hasnt been near 185 MPH yet.....very cool.
Are there any websites reporting anything on this race?
Quote:link?
the bullet has results posted in trash be trash section by Drag Radial

Quote:just think if they could get the 60' down, and I doubt that car is 3200lbs
I plugged in that 185 MPH and guessed Jimmy's race weight at 3,200 lbs. and based on that, they're putting almost 3,000 HP to the rear wheels.

Quote:i think it was the last outlaw 10.5 race there was a car that ran 3.90s at 185.
Based on what I have seen with the TAFC, 185 will get you very low 4's. Every 3.9 we ran has always been in the 190's. You have to keep in mind the coefficent of drag on his car too. It is like a brick on the nose, where a FC is a little more less brick like. He is getting close though!
Good job Jimmy.Quote:Quote:thats what I was thinking. 185 has the mph to run in the 3 sec zone. but I bet they are giving it up down low.

Quote:not positive but probably around 1.11s or slowerQuote:Quote:just think if they could get the 60' down, and I doubt that car is 3200lbs

What kind of 60' times are they getting?

3200#, I doubt it, I'd guess 2200-2400#

Outlaw 10.5 cars are required to weigh a minimum of 3000lbs (big block) and Jimmie also does not have stock front frame rails so he might have a weight penalty on top of that.

They didn't make the call for 3rd round of qualifying and went red on the 1st round of eliminations....keep at it guys, if it was easy everyone would be doing it
Have a safe trip home

If there's one thing I've learned in my long and storied lug nut polishing career is, sometimes you kill the tree, and sometimes the tree kills you. <joke off>
