Well she went and got herself pregnant. I figured that would happen but it was sooner than I thought. That could not have been planned this close to the season starting.

I bet privatly dad is not happy. It said on nhra that Neff is going to drive Ashley's car so now dad is without his crew chief. He probably better get Austin on the phone.

Ashley Force Hood announced during a press conference Tuesday she and husband Danny Hood are expecting a child this summer. As a result, the top name NHRA Funny Car driver will sit out the 2011 season.
Mike Neff will fill in as tuner/driver of the Force Hood car.
“This past November, after watching my dad clinch his 15th championship, Dan and I decided we would try to start a family,” said the 2007 NHRA Rookie of the Year. “We knew it was unlikely to happen in such a short amount of time and, if it didn’t, I could still race the 2011 season and we’d try again next winter.
“We felt that if God wanted it to happen, it would happen. Well, God didn’t waste any time and I am pregnant and due at the end of the summer. Dan and I know there is always a risk at the beginning of a pregnancy so we waited as long as possible to say anything to make sure everything was all right and there were no problems,” she said.
“I will be taking off this season, but I will still represent Castrol, Ford, Auto Club, BrandSource and Mac Tools; will still be involved in media, commercials and interviews; and will definitely still be rooting on my teammates to go after that 2011 Championship.”
Force Hood's crew chief, Dean Antonelli, will join Bernie Fedderly as the crew chief on the defending world champion John Force's Castrol High Mileage Funny Car.
Force Hood also will spend time coaching youngest sister Courtney, who this year will be testing a BrandSource Ford Funny Car in anticipation of an eventual pro debut.

I just think he is probably not happy having to shake everything up. Probably better now than in the middle of the season though.

She announced at the Finals last Novemeber she was taking the year off to start a family.

They tried and she got pregnant,if she didn't they would try next winter? Glad I didn't marry her. I'd be shifting my other stick.

For those of you who missed some of the articles; Courtney is licensing in the 4th car with another reality TV show in the works to follow her transition to Funny Car. Thats the gist of what I read on NHRA.com

you guys can say what you want but Ashley is a great person this past October at Maple Grove she had a very bad weekend blowing the body off 2 of her cars. my 10 year old daughter was thrilled to meet and have her picture with Ashley more then John

john has more money then he knows to do with...if he was a man...he would be happy about Ashley starting a family..Congrats to Ashley...family and friends will be there long after your drag racing days are over

You can dislike John Force all you want,but Ashley is pretty cool.Even if she had it easier than most to get where she is,it took a lot of work to get there.
I'm just upset she did not tell me I have a baby on the way before she went public.

I dont care what you all say; he is cool in my book. He gave my mom and my wife a complete tour of his compound when they were at Gateway a couple years ago. It made my mom's year as she is a huge Force fan. On top of that she was talking about her sons who race and he told her to bring me by. We went by there after qualifying was done at 9:30 and he looked like he had been beat. Even then he took the time to talk to me, invited me into his pits, and gave me a beer
I think they get a bit too much TV time too but like it or not; they are good for the sport as a whole.

on numerous occasion and enjoyed each time... if you
