Sold Off My B-Engine Stuff - 12/30/10 02:22 AM

Well I sold off most of my RB engine stuff today...
all I have left is a 8-71 blower on a RB manifold and
a complete (stock) 440... got to get rid of this boat
anchor... its taking up my space.... I have way to
much small block stuff to have any BB stuff laying
around... if I could get a few of my 340 blocks up
on the top of my office/build room I would but I need
my tractor back here to do it...... I need more room

Yea just messin" I have a full shop too. So I know how easy it is to fill one up when you are into cars. I would love to build a new bigger shop. However I'm pretty sure the local athuority would make me tear down my current one and I'd end up with a net gain of just a few hunderd feet & spend all that money & time.

From my old shop to the new one I gained 350 sqft but
the old one was ready to FALL over... plus I went taller
to put a hoist in.... I really like my shop but I
wanted it 2000 sqft and its only 1140 now

Raff...were NEVER satisfied with the size of our garages/pole barn's/shop's!!! If you did have 2000 sq. ft. it would STILL be filled up with "stuff"! I think you have a real nice set-up...and just the right amount of room to build a 440 stroker, for a "certain" '69' GTX...sometime in the future!

I didn't think it would take long to sell the parts you had listed Mike. It sure seemed like a sweet deal for someone.

I hear ya...we have so much small block stuff that I don't know why that pesky 440 is still in the corner of the garage taking up space.

Raff,

Good to see things sold.
What was the list? Did you have any heads?

I searched under your name in the Parts section, but you deleted the list instead of just adding SOLD to the top of the listing.

I had rough bored and lifter bushed and line bored
after heat treating/cycled... still have a Callies
4.15 crank turned down to move the weight in closer,
a set of pistons and alum rods for a 514ci... everything

Being the kind hearted guy I am, I'd take the blower off your hands for a song.... heck, maybe even a dance...

Re: Sold Off My B-Engine Stuff - 12/31/10 12:11 AM

I'm half tempted just to pick up a 440 just because. Been out of the cars so long I feel incomplete without a spare block or something taking up space in my garage.

3 years ago I switched to motorcycles, it saves a considerable amount of space.

Well I dont want to turn this into a for sale ad...
but its worth more than a song and dance... especially
your singing....
