This is just for fun and something I most likely wont
know unless you base it on the on track performance

Guess the HP and torque
What I have is a
340 stock block with 4 bolt caps at 4.070 bore
4" stroke crank turned down to chevy rod size (2.1")
6.125 Eagle H-beam rods
Diamond pistons with a 18cc dish and valve pockets
which will be either a 10.75 OR 11.02 compression
depending on which head gaskets
cam is a roundy round solid roller 260/270@50 .610/.610
lift on a 105 LSA installed at 105
TD rockers with push rod oiling 1.5/1.5... but I'm
checking my stash to see if I have any 1.6 intakes
W-5 ported heads.... 2.08 intakes, 1.6 exhaust both
are .343 stems peak flow is 310 cfm
M1 intake with 4500 adapter and a 1050 dom, match
ported to the heads
custom wet sump oil pan with scraper
1 7/8" headers

This is a pump gas engine
I think thats about it.... take a guess.... this is
going into my Rampage... this will be my Hot Rod
Drag week car and my street hot rod ... I expect it
to be at or a little less than 2800# with me

Not good at this but here goes;
575-590 hp
525-550 tq..........but have no clue at what rpm`s.

..... 565 hp @ 6750 and 530 ft lbs @ 5300,am I close?

Im going to say around 525hp on the plus side ...make at least 450 lbs ft..

conservative 575hp,i'f all else is good..10.30's in a 2800 lb car

I know it isn't a full up race engine, but I know a guy that ran a 422 CID, small block with W5 heads, and it was way faster with his W2 heads. But that isn't fair as the W2 heads were heavily ported, and much smaller chambers (CR). As I recall, in a roughly 2700 pound car, around 10.0

As a guess myself I'm thinking 550hp with 500tq I might
be a bit high but I'm hoping for 500ft lbs on torque
I'll be running a 518 OD trans with a 4500 stall
or there about converter( I think it would be closer
to 6000 but I'll send it out to have it corrected
to my engine).... I can only run 10.0 at ANY track
and 10.80 at the Hot Rod week stuff

You know where its gonna fall in and what you need to tweak to get it there Sounds like a fun build

why are you limited to 10.0? saftey rules? what about the the 423ci NA class?

I can NOT get a NHRA license anymore due to health reasons
so I am limited to 10.0 MAX... and in this participial
field they have a 10.80 cut off with a average of
10.80... BUT they deduct .1 from your weekly average

oh yea I forgot. what was the winner in last years SB NA class? sounds like fun I am thinking about doing something like this.

Its bracket racing on the final day so its up to the
best off the line on the last day... I just want to be
competitive.... but I would like to have a little in
the bank

Mike, with the roundy bout roller cam you may want to look @ a 1.7 intake rocker

This is a trow together engine with what I have
and the most I MIGHT have is 1.6 intake rockers...
its going to be what ever it is... but to be honest
I figure I can make 500+ hp and close to 500 ftlbs
I plan on a cam change next year but this is what it
is for this year

You approached it right. You said in the first post you were a light weight car to begin with. Your goal has been reached without even leaving the garage from what I read. No clue as to the HP and TQ output...but Mike,Best of Luck with the build! If you ever need another pair of hands..call me! Is your floor ready for visitors yet? Me and my 6 buddies are ready for a little visit to Romeo Twp! How are your eyes doing? I've got a couple of ideas on the GTX to run by ya as well! Talk to ya soon,buddy!

Swing on by Randy.... you know where I am... out in
the shop working... the place is a mess but thats the
way it is till I can start scraping stuff... the tunes
are playing and it has heat so what else do ya need
