I post here most, and most of my friends lurk here also, so please leave it here a small while if you will.

I lost my Mom a few days ago, she had been sick a good while with heart trouble. She had been staying at the Hospice Center for pretty much the last few months, and was well enough to come home the day before Thanksgiving.
Last Thursday I picked up some Mexican take out for me and her as a early Birthday dinner. As I prepared to leave I kissed her not once but twice and told her I loved her, pretty much the last words I spoke to my mom alive. I still wished I could have said more...done more... She died the following day, well early Saturday Morning.
Read and pay real close attention to the following instructions...
People, tell your loved ones how much you care, kiss them and hug them, dont walk away mad or let petty misunderstandings keep you apart or cause fighting. You never know it could be your last chance, last time you speak or see them.
Dad is coping pretty well, we was somewhat prepared, as much as one can be. Its still like a bad dream.
I haven't had a chance to respond to a few pm's.. I will get back with you guys asap.

Bob...I am really sorry to read this...We buried my step dad thursday..He always enjoyed looking at my car..A year ago,I lost my dad...He didn't like my car but raced sleds and dirt bikes in the 70s...Won several trophys! Mom spent the weekend with us..She knows that she can't be out in the country alone anymore. My sister and I have to do the best we can with her...The pain will never go away when you loose a loved one...Always cherish the good times...You have our condolences..Ted&Judy

Sorry for your loss Bob. My brother passed away today at 52, Moms in nursing home now but lives with us most of the time , she's 90, she'll be coming back down south next month. Hang in their we'll all say a prayer for your family.

our thoughts are with your family,my wifes dad has been having mini strokes for 6 weeks,docs can't figure out whats happening.we are 1,000 miles away so we keep the phones busy.wish the best for everyone.

Bob, all our thoughts go out to you and your family and friends from all at BGR.We have lost so many family and friends over the years and know how hard it is but we must all share the strength to endure and accept this part of life.

Bob so sorry for your loss, our prayers are with you. We are going through the same thing now. My mother is in hospice and has been for 2 months now, and I know how hard it is. My wife and I have both lost our fathers they will always be in our hearts and your mother will always be in yours, our deepest sympathy Mark Petros.

I have looked at this thread for a couple days and not clicked on it because I know what it meant and it hits kind of close for me.
A lot of us are at that age.........parents and aunts / uncles are in that wheel house and there is going to be some grief and pain coming for many of us.
I typically would say to cherish the memories and hang on to them in this way.
But I really like the notion that they live on through us.
It is obvious that you loved Her and my gut tells me that you were a great Son..........a lot of that is Her work.
